Homemade houmous on bagels with cucumber and tomatoes 🤗 Rough recipe for houmous below (quantities can vary depending on your taste): Garlic clove Tin of chickpeas Dollops of tahini (I use about 3 tablespoons, I love tahini so could be more as I get carried away 😂) Olive oil (again roughly 3 tablespoons) Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lemon Little bit of water to help with consistency 1/2 teaspoon of paprika Salt and pepper Blitz all together in a food processor 👌 I can't get enough of this houmous and this recipe makes plenty so you can use some with other meals. Easy for breakfast lunch or dinner! Don't forget to use the hashtag #thebreakfastdiaries or #theluncboxdiaries or ever #thedinnerdiaries so we can share ideas xxx . #veganuary #veganlunchbox #veganeats #plants #plantpower #plantprotien #goodmoodfood #eatnaturallea #homecooked
When I move my body I feel strong, I feel empowered, I feel alive. And I feel happy. When I'm static for long periods and movement is not an option for me I feel stuck. I feel like the energy is bound. I hope movement is always an option for me. And that I'm bold enough to take on new challenges ❤ . #movementmatters #yogameds #yogaisforeveryone
Lunch is all prepped for tomorrow, as is breakfast. Who am I?? 🤷🏼♀️ Must be this New Year energy rubbing off on me. I haven't made any New Year Resolutions but I have written down a few words on a post-it by my bed. One of them is organisation. And as you can see I'm off to a flying start 👏👌🙌🏼 #thelunchboxdiaries
For all those participating in #veganuary this January I'm here to support you this month. I will post a few more vegan meals on here in case you're in need of a bit of inspiration. I'm keeping it simple this morning (most mornings) with porridge oats, almond milk, chia seeds, pecan nuts, strawberries and @pukkaherbs tea to get me started. Let me know what you're having for breakfast by using the hashtag #thebreakfastdiaries so we can all share ideas. Best of luck if this is something very new to you. There's a huge community here to support you 💃🏼🌱❤
"This year I've embodied who I am more than ever before. I've learned that the more open I am and the more I own my truth, the more I allow others to do the same. I stand by who I am. By my beliefs. By what I seek to create. I'm committed to continued expansion. I've realised that we all become our fullest selves by pouring in to our own cups first. This looks different each day, but it always aligns with understanding why we do what we do. It takes conscious and consistent commitment to look at our patterns without judgement. To try to truly understand why we are the way we are. To reflect whether we're aligned with our truths, or whether we're simply living the way we 'should' be. At our core, we all yearn to be accepted. We seek validation by pleasing others, knowing we're best equipped to survive when we're 'part of the tribe'. Fears of judgement and rejection are hard wired in our DNA. But these fears keep us small. These fears hold us back from fully showing up. This year I intend to show up, and show up more fully than I ever have. I know that showing up triggers others. It ruffles feathers. It tests our commitment to owning our wholeness when it's easier to stay small. It requires letting go of the status quo and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable. It requires allowing ourselves to be seen. When we embody our fullness, we catapult the manifestation of our dreams. I'm ushering deep embodiment for us all in 2019". Some inspiring words from @namaskayyy to take us in to 2019. ❤🎉
This is the dress I had on to wear to my friend's beautiful winter wedding then changed promptly after this picture as it was a little 2012 Angelina Jolie thigh split-esq. You get me? Any way, reflecting back at this picture got me thinking - if there's anything I've learnt from 2018 it is this: 1. Life is too short. It really is. 2. What's the worst that can happen (slightly dangerous territory for me 😂). 3.. There's nothing wrong in loving yourself wholeheartedly. I urge you to do it. The love you show yourself will shine out from you like a beacon of light and will guide the way for others. 4. Find the joy in the every day. In the ordinary. That shit is pure magic. 5. Lastly, try to do the best to look after every aspect of your health. Emotional, mental, physical, spiritual health. It's all so important and so connected. This could seem like an overwhelming task but a shift in mindset could be the thing that sets off a whole series of positive changes without you even committing to unrealistic New Year Resolutions. 6. Actually, lastly because 6 points seems more like a rounded, even, thought out list 😂. Diets don't work. They really don't. Don't go on a diet in 2019. If you focus on the 5 points above this will have a huge impact on how you feel about yourself and the lifestyle choices you make. . There's lots more that I could say but really I just wanted to post a picture of me in a dress that I didn't actually wear because the split was drawing attention to my leg. MY LEG!!! What a nob. Don't be a nob like me #teamnobs . *** It was a beautiful sunny day for a wedding but was very cold, unlike this picture suggests. So I was concerned THE LEG would get cold 😂
